Ready to Serve

My family and I came to this country with almost nothing but gratitude—gratitude for the opportunities, the freedom, and the chance to build a better life. That gratitude has turned into a lifetime of service and accountability.

When the Navy recruiters called offering me the chance serve the country that had given my family so much, I jumped at the opportunity. After serving, I carried that same commitment of making our country a better place into my civilian life by becoming a CPA to protect the public’s money and ensure financial accountability in government.

The same issues that drove me to run for Will County Treasurer in 2022 are still here today: wasteful spending, lack of accountability, and politicians who pass the buck instead of solving problems. 

One glaring example was the Will County Veterans’ Assistance Commission (VAC). As a veteran and CPA, I couldn’t stand by while watching the very agency meant to serve veterans was failing them—spending was out of control, leadership lacked direction, and politics got in the way of real help.

So I stepped up to fix a broken system. I went on a crusade to clean up the VAC and demonstrate to the public the fiscal abuse happening within our county government and show that we can right the ship without sacrificing the quality of service the county provides.

We brought together veterans, community leaders, and concerned citizens to fix it. As VAC President, we appointed new leadership, hired qualified staff, and rebuilt the VAC from the ground up. And the results speak for themselves.

We went from being one of the worst-rated VACs in the state to one of the best-performing. We expanded services to veterans without increasing the budget by a single penny. And we even opened a new veterans building without adding any new costs for taxpayers, in fact, we saved the county millions of dollars.

This experience wasn’t just about cleaning up one agency, it was about proving that real leadership can deliver results, protect taxpayer dollars, and make government work for the people it serves. Now, I am running for Will County Treasurer again with a proven record of turning a government department into one of the best in the state. 

As treasurer, I will protect every tax dollar with proven fiscal responsibility. I will safeguard taxpayer money with the same diligence I’ve shown throughout my career as a CPA. From stronger financial controls to smarter investments, I will ensure every dollar is accounted for, something that is not happening now.

I will eliminate waste and increase efficiency throughout the Treasurer’s Office. I will push to consolidate outdated systems, scrutinize spending, and demand accountability in every corner of county government. Wherever money is being wasted, I will shine a light on it so we can put more money back in the pockets of working families.

Finally, I will demand real transparency and accountability. Taxpayers deserve simple, clear reports showing how their money is being used. I will overhaul financial reporting so anyone, not just accountants, can easily understand where every dollar goes.

To be entrusted with the taxpayers’ money is a massive responsibility. This isn’t a role for a political figure, it requires the professional accounting qualifications and experience that our current Treasurer does not possess. The incumbent treasurer is not a CPA, he’s a politician. I am a CPA, veteran, and a proven problem-solver who has already taken a broken government agency and turned it into one of the best in the state.

I’ve served my country, my community, and my fellow veterans. Now I’m ready to serve every taxpayer in Will County with that same dedication. Please, vote for me for Will County Treasurer so I can get to work protecting your hard-earned tax dollars and building a government that you can trust again.
